bruh moment en, dan moeten we het bijna onmogelijk maken om te vragen. Voorzitter, laat ons dan als voorbeeld de heer Gerrit Zalm vermelden. Hij is door de vorige voorzitter van de Europese Raad in de beweging geroepen. Nu is hij in zijn tweede termijn als voorzitter van de Europese Raad, en ik heb de eer hem te mogen ontmoeten. De heer Zalm had een goede, maar niet veelbelovende toespraak. De heer Zalm had er namelijk geen moeite mee zijn toespraak af te krijgen. De heer Zalm was de oorzaak van zijn eigen vergissing. De heer Zalm was zo onverwachts in zijn spreekbeurt dat de heer Zalm toen geen woord van de heer Prodi kreeg en toen hij toen de heer Prodi had gehoord het niet had, de heer Zalm kwam tot het besluit om de heer Prodi te verzoeken het woord te nemen. Als dat wel gebeurd was, dan zou het voorzitterschap van de Raad dan een ongelooflijke opdracht hebben moeten nemen en zijn verantwoordelijkheid te nemen.

De heer Zalm heeft geen verantwoordelijkheid, maar het voorzitterschap van de Raad. De heer Zalm heeft toen geen verantwoordelijkheid genomen en dat is toch een kwestie van verantwoordelijkheid. Dat moeten wij eens overdenken. Ik wil ook aan de heer Prodi vragen of hij de bezorgdheid van de burgers niet ziet en vooral die van de bevolking van de lidstaten. Wanneer wij op het laatste moment in de kwetsbaarste gebieden van Europa onder het oog van de media de vraag stellen of de verantwoordelijkheid van de Raad in deze zaak het voorzitterschap van de Raad is of dat van het voorzitterschap van de Raad, dan wordt het moeilijk de vraag te beantwoorden.

Wij krijgen de vraag: hoeveel tijd verstrijkt tussen de bijeenkomst van de Raad en de publicatie van de dagvaarding? Wij krijgen de vraag: waarom krijgt de Raad zijn bezorgdheid niet onder ogen en hoeveel tijd verstrijkt tussen de bijeenkomst van de Raad en de publicatie van de dagvaarding? De Raad heeft een enorme verantwoordelijkheid, maar daarom is het toch ook noodzakelijk dat de Raad het voorzitterschap van de Raad erkent. Dat is een ernstige zaak.

Als het voorzitterschap van de Raad niet erkent dat het een groot vergissing is geweest, dan krijgt de Raad geen uitdrukking van vertrouwen en dan kan hij er niet op vertrouwen dat de Europese bevolking in Europa vertrouwen heeft.

  42. A married Illinois teacher accused of sexually assaulting
    a teenager she was tutoring arrived at court with her husband by her side after he was blindsided by the charges against her.

    Christina Formella, 30, who also served as a boys’ and girls’ soccer coach, was arrested last month during a
    traffic stop after allegedly targeting a young student at Downers Grove South High School outside
    of Chicago.

    The boy, who was 15 years old at the time, was a soccer player who was being tutored by Formella after he broke his collarbone, according to court documents.

    Prosecutors said Formella used her position of power over the student to begin an inappropriate relationship with him that led to them having
    sex in her classroom in December 2023.

    Her husband, Michael, stood by her side at
    court on Monday, despite previously telling police he knew nothing about his wife’s relationship
    with a student.

    The couple arrived at the DuPage County Courthouse wearing matching black
    pants and jackets with cream colored shirts.

    Formella appeared to have a full face of makeup done as she walked into court to face charges of criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

    The teacher has maintained that she never sexually assaulted the student and that ‘everybody comes
    after her because she is good-looking,’ according to court documents.

    DuPage County prosecutors claimed that during her police interview, Formella
    tried to portray her victim as a boy obsessed with a teacher because she’s ‘good
    looking’ and claimed her husband was aware of the situation.

    ‘Throughout her interview, [Formella] tried to paint [the accuser] as her
    “stalker” and claimed that her husband was aware,’ prosecutors said in court
    documents.

    However, her husband, Michael, told investigators it was the
    first time he had heard about a situation involving the boy.

    ‘Oddly enough, her husband told detectives that he knows nothing about [the accuser] beyond his status
    as a soccer player,’ prosecutors said.

    The alleged assault occurred in December 2023, but the
    student’s mother found disturbing messages between the
    two earlier in March when she logged into her son’s iCloud account
    after she bought him a new phone.

    Formella allegedly sent shockingly lewd messages to the boy, telling him
    how much she ‘loves him’ and ‘loves having sex’ with
    him. 

    In one exchange, Formella allegedly told the young student: ‘ I
    love you sooooo much baby… Even though this morning was short,
    it was perfect.’

    ‘I know baby it was perfect baby so perfect,’ the student is said to
    have written back.

    Formella tried to portray her victim as a ‘stalker’ and
    claimed her husband and college sweetheart Michael (right) was aware
    of the situation

    The teacher has maintained that she never sexually assaulted the student and that ‘everybody comes after her because she is good looking’

    ‘I love having sex with you,’ Formella said.

    ‘I know baby I love it so much… It feels so good… It’s so passionate…
    It’s so intimate … It’s so perfect,’ the student replied.

     She confessed to police that she ‘cared too much’
    about the student, but claimed that he broke into her
    phone and sent the text messages as blackmail.

    ‘She claimed that one day, [the boy], had grabbed her
    phone unattended, had entered her passcode… had sent the message to his phone, had then deleted the message from her phone, and had saved it to his phone as blackmail,’ the documents
    said.
